Trevox Associates was established as a business name in 1976 along with Trevox Electrical and Trevox Sound under the leadership of Trevor Oxborrow ("Trevox"). The names reflected the direction in which individuals' abilities were applied. We took on board the perhaps unlikely combination of electrical contracting, public address and music roadshows and computer consultancy. The purpose was to act as a focus for the talents and aspirations of our associates, providing a quality service to our customers. Gradually our focus shifted to Information Technology and Web-based services.
In 1997 we moved our base from Kirby-le-Soken in Essex, England, to Campbeltown in Argyll, Scotland, to continue our mission to help businesses and individuals to find better solutions, by design, to their information technology problems. By that time, the solutions usually involved a computer or two. Trevor Oxborrow retired from commercial internet activity in July 2009
to concentrate on supporting community groups and non-profit
organisations.
Whilst electrical contracting work was discontinued with the move to Scotland, musical activity increased when Trevor Oxborrow took on a role as a presenter on local radio station Argyll FM, again using the name "Trevox". The resumption of his DJing activity followed.
